چکیده

The lightest supersymmetric particle, most likely the lightest neutralino, is one of the most prominent particle candidates for cold dark matter (CDM). We show that the primordial spectrum of density fluctuations in neutralino CDM has a sharp cut-off, induced by two different damping mechanisms. During the kinetic decoupling of neutralinos, non-equilibrium processes constitute viscosity effects, which damp or even absorb density perturbations in CDM. After the last scattering of neutralinos, free streaming induces neutralino flows from overdense to underdense regions of space. Both damping mechanisms together define a minimal mass scale for perturbations in neutralino CDM, before the inhomogeneities enter the nonlinear epoch of structure formation. We find that the very first gravitationally bound neutralino clouds ought to have masses above 10M⊙, which is six orders of magnitude above the mass of possible axion miniclusters.

The power spectrum of SUSY-CDM on sub-galactic scales

The formation of large scale structure is independent of the nature of the cold dark matter (CDM), however the fate of very small scale inhomogeneities depends on the micro-physics of the CDM particles. We investigate the matter power spectrum for scales that enter the Hubble radius well before matter-radiation equality, and follow its evolution until the time when the first inhomogeneities bec...

A Single Scale Theory for Cold and Hot Dark Matter

We show that a recently proposed extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model can provide a scenario where both the cold and the hot dark matter of the universe owe their origin to a single scale connected with the breakdown of global B − L symmetry. The susy partner of the majoron and the light Majorana neutrinos are the cold and hot dark matter candidates respectively in this model ...

Large - scale structure formation for power spectra with broken scale invariance

We have simulated the formation of large-scale structure arising from COBEnormalized spectra computed by convolving a primordial double-inflation perturbation spectrum with the CDM transfer function. Due to the broken scale invariance (’BSI’) characterizing the primordial perturbation spectrum, this model has less small-scale power than the (COBE-normalized) standard CDM model. The particle-mes...

Fine-tuning favors mixed axion/axino cold dark matter over neutralinos in the minimal supergravity model

Over almost all of minimal supergravity (mSUGRA or CMSSM) model parameter space, there is a large overabundance of neutralino cold dark matter (CDM). We find that the regions of mSUGRA parameter space which match the measured abundance of CDM in the universe are highly fine-tuned, unless tanβ is very large. If instead we invoke the Peccei-Quinn-Weinberg-Wilczek solution to the strong CP problem...

Gravitino Warm Dark Matter Motivated by the CDF eeγγ Event

The eeγγ+/ ET event observed by the CDF at Fermilab is naturally explained by dynamically supersymmetry breaking models and suggests the presence of the light gravitino which can be a warm dark matter. We consider large scale structure of the universe in the worm dark matter model and find that the warm dark matter plays almost the same role in the formation of the large scale structure as a co...
